Biopols has been one of the last 16 teams in the ClimateLaunchPad: Green Business Ideas Competition and qualified for the global final.

Biopol, is a new generation food storage technology with antibacterial and antioxidant properties which reduces concerns of producers and consumers on food safety and shelf life. It extends the shelf life of foods by the biopolymer surface enriched with natural active substances, coated on environmentally compatible materials such as paper, fabric, bioplastic. This product aims to reduce the carbon footprint of f&b industry by reducing the waste and offering a greener alternative to current packaging.

It has been one of the last 16 teams in the ClimateLaunchPad: Green Business Ideas Competition and qualified for the global final. The competition also took first place in the national finals. Biopols entered the last 40 teams in the EIT Food Seedbed Incubator acceleration programme and was awarded the commercialisation award.

How did EIT Food Community support this success?

Biopols, was among the 2022 EWA Turkish entrepeneurs. Biopols, which developed a different product in 2022, improved its team and initiative with the various trainigns it received turing the EWA Programme timeline.

Biopols, together with the mentors and network within EWA Programme, reached more consumers and the market where they can sell their products. It continued to thevelop in the area of commercialisation by taking part in EIT Food Seedbed Incubator Programme.
