This year, instead of the traditional meetings, which take place in Jasionka near Rzeszów, the organisers offered a new tool for networking and the exchange of experiences via an interactive online platform. According to organisers event drew more than 500 participants from 39 countries.
Webinars on current issues related to the international exchange of goods, the competitiveness of agri-food production, raising funds for innovations in agriculture, also in the context of the successor of “Horizon 2020” and the possibility of using these funds and the use of water in agriculture in the context of climate change were an important part of the event.
EIT Food among other international experts and entrepreneurs from the industry joined the virtual debate. Dr Kerstin Burseg, Innovation Programme Manager at EIT Food together with other speakers such as Wolfgang Burtscher, DG Argiculture and Rural Development or Marek Zagórski, Secretary of State of Digitization, Chancellery of Prime Minister of Poland discussed how can we effectively introduce and coordinate activities related to innovation in the countryside and ensure the cooperation of agriculture, business and national administration during the panel “The Importance of innovation in agriculture and funding opportunities under the CAP”.
