Building Global Innovators (BGI)

Profile

BGI (www.bgi.pt) stemmed out of MIT Portugal program (https://www.mitportugal.org) in 2010 and consists of an American style world-class deep innovation accelerator based in Lisbon (Portugal) with activity in MIT (USA). BGI’s accelerated 149 start-ups have raised over €300M to date.

BGI has been developing collaborative deep innovation programs, the first of which consoling of a 2.8M€ ColAB focusing on Sustainable food systems, Food4sustainability.org.
